In celebration of Yankee Homecoming in Newburyport this weekend the Portsmouth Rockinghams will transform and become the 1867 Clionians of Newburyport for the day.

July 9 2016 Lowell Nine, Rockinghams of Portsmouth, and Colorado Territorial All Stars
The Lowell Base Ball Nine, Rockinghams of Portsmouth, and Colorado Territorial All Stars traveled to Georges Island this past Saturday to play some good old fashioned 1864 rules base ball. In game one, which was a ten inning affair, the mixed squad of Colorado All Stars and Lowell Nine were able to outlast the Portsmouth Rockinghams 20-18. In a shortened game two the Rockinghams were able to defeat the Mixed Lowell and Colorado All Stars. A fun day was had by all and we hope the Colorado boys come back to visit soon.
The next game will be Saturday July 16th 11am as members of the EBBA will combine to play as the Lowell Clippers and the Stoneham Kearsarge. The day is sponsored by the Liberty Bay Credit Union and promises to be a great time.
Due to the threat of bad weather we have canceled the games scheduled at Spencer Peirce Little Farm on July 10th
