With the season just a few months away the Essex Base Ball Organization have several pre season events lined up.
Sunday February 15th– Offseason Team Meeting
Saturday February 21st 6pm at Murphys Taproom in Manchester, NH- Irish Movie Night, showing of the Emerald Diamond. $5 Donation for admission. Along with the movie, items from New England Picture will be raffled/ auctioned off. The grand prize will be a Kevin Youkilis signed baseball in a shadow box. Proceeds will go to bringing members of the club to Ireland.
Sunday March 8th– Annual Lawrence, MA St. Patty’s Day Parade
Friday March 13th– Members of the club will be in uniform for Brian “Cappy” Sheehy’s lecture to the National Council for History Educators on vintage base ball at Fenway Park.
Saturday March 14th.- First Annual Essex Base Ball Organization St. Patty’s Day Party at the Lawrence Elks in Lawrence, MA. Tickets are $30 and include a corned beef dinner and entertainment.
Saturday March 28th– 7pm at the Baseball Tavern in Boston- Irish Movie Night. New England Picture will also be on hand for the raffles and auctions. Members of the Irish National Baseball Team will also be making an appearance. More details to come.
