Lynn Finishes Up Strong

012_g.jpgThe Lynn Live Oaks finished off their 2007 season with two commanding wins against the Dirigo Base Ball Club of Augusta, ME.  On Saturday September 29th, in conjunction with the Essex National Heritage’s Trails and Sails weekend, the two clubs squared off on a beautiful fall day at the cozy confines of Endicott Park, and what a day it was for the Oaks.  The exact scores are not remembered but the Oak offense was firing on all cylinders scoring at will, and the pitching of Ralph “Missing” Hebb kept the Maine boys off balance.

Between games members of the two clubs entertained several of the kids in the crowd and allowed them to take a few swings.

The Organization would like to thank all of those who came to the game, the Dirigo guys who made the trip all the way from Maine, and finally Jeff “Graybeard” Peart for umpiring.

The 2007 season was a successful one and we all look forward to even more in 2008.  Keep an eye out, we are already booking dates for 2008…..

We would like to welcome all to join us for our fundraiser Monday October 15th 4-8pm at Fuddruckers in North Andover.
