The Season is Here

Irish Baseball Movie Night Fundraiser

Come join us on Saturday March 28th, 7:00pm at The Baseball Tavern 1270 Boylston St. Boston, MA for a movie night fundraiser to help bring baseball history to Ireland. The Essex Base Ball Club will be showing the movie The Emerald Diamond, a 90-minute documentary about the Irish National Baseball Team. The film debuted to a sold out crowd in New York on February 25, 2006 and has been seen in over 20 theaters across the country since then. It has been featured by The New York Times, New York Post, FoxNews, USA Today, Chicago Tribune and National Public Radio.

We will also have 19th century base ball material on display and will be having raffles and prizes provided by New England Picture. Along with the movie members of the Irish National Baseball Team will be on hand. We are asking for a $5 donation at the door and all proceeds will go to bringing the Essex Base Ball Club and 19th century base ball to Ireland in 2009. Come join us for a night of baseball and fun.
