The Essex Base Ball Organization has a big weekend coming up. One Saturday the Beaneaters head up to Pennechuck Middle School in Nashua, NH to take on the NH Granite at 11am. Following the game several members of the Beaneaters will head down to Hingham, MA to attend the Mike “King” Kelly fundraiser sponsored by the Hingham Historical Society. On June 1st the Essex Base Ball Club will travel to the Lakeview Junior High School in Dracut, MA to participate in an exhibition against students, teachers, and parents. The festivities kick off at 11am.

May 18th

Come check out the Essex Base Ball Club and Lynn Live Oaks as they square off on Sunday May 18th at Endicott Park in Danvers, MA at 12pm.  The games will also be open for the public to play so come test out 19th century base ball.  Admission is free but donations are welcome.  Please bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the action.

Opening Weekend

Opening weekend went well for the Essex squad taking both games in their round robin with the Melrose Pondfielders and the Fitchburg Rollstones.  The Essex Club would like to thank the Pondfielders and Rollstones for coming to Danvers, and we look forward to more games with both squads this season.
