Essex Wins the League

On the final day of the season the Essex Base Ball Club matched up against the upstart Fitchburg Rollstones to decide the winner of the Northern Massachusetts Vintage Base Ball League.  It was a sunny beautiful fall day when the two clubs matched up and when all was said and done the Essex Nine squeaked away with a 7-4 victory.  The Essex Nine would like to thank and congratulate the Rollstones on a fine fist season of play.  We look forward to many more years of match ups.

Come join the Essex Base Ball Organization on Monday October 20th from 5-8 at the Fuddruckers in North Andover, MA for our annual fundraiser.  The club will be getting 15% of all sales.

Rain…………. League Day

Unfortunately mother did not cooperate with us this past weekend as the entire weekend of Trails and Sails was canceled due to rain.  The only event that did run was the lecture at the Nevins Library in Methuen.  The club hope to schedule a game next year in Methuen in conjunction with the Historical Commission.

The last game of the season will be Sunday October 5th at Endicott Park in Danvers.  1pm Lynn Live Oaks vs. Melrose Pondfielders, 3pm Essex BBC vs. Fitchburg Rollstones.  Admission is free but bring a blanket or chair.

Our annual Fuddruckers fundraiser will be held on Monday October 20th from 5-8 pm at the Fuddruckers in North Andover, MA.  Come help support the clubs.
