The Prince Returns to Spencer Peirce Little Farm….

On a beautiful sunny summers day this past Sunday the Lowell Nine and Live Oaks of Lynn returned home to historic Spencer Peirce Little Farm to square off in two action packed 1864 rules matches. In game one the Lowell Nine marched out to eight runs in the first inning and never looked back securing a 17-2 over the Live Oaks. The team was led by Alex Short’s two homeruns, which he secured with his new Phoenix Bat specials. The offense was solid from top to bottom and solid defense was all around for Lowell.

Lowell was also sparked by the return of Jim “Prince” Bodwell. “Prince” was with the team for several years during Lowell’s dominant run but due to a new job he had to move down south to the land of Dixie. “Prince” returned for a visit this past weekend and wowed players and fans alike with hits, hustle, and dramatic plays. The highlight of Prince’s performance was throwing out a Live Oak runner at first base from left field. We would like to thank Jim for playing and hope that he returns soon.

In game 2 the Live Oaks fought back to make a game of it but the pitching of John “Face Plant” Lynch and the solid Lowell defense helped them secure a 13-6 victory.

The next time out will be a triple header Sunday July 16th starting at 11am featuring the NH Granite, the Live Oaks of Lynn, and the Rockinghams of Portsmouth.
