On Sunday after the second game of our quadruple header Lowell Nine catcher John “Face Plant” Lynch will shave his head for children’s cancer treatment.  Below are the details

“This will be my 5th year buzzing it off for kids with cancer. It started with a radio ad five Springs ago and has been an important event for me ever since. The first Buzz Off was especially important because my good friend’s son was undergoing cancer treatment at Children’s Hospital. Happily, his treatment went tremendously well and I feel this is a great event to continue to support! Here are websites about the event and organization, One Mission… ” 

Opening Day…. Finally

Opening day is finally here.. Sunday June 7th, games 1 and 2 will feature the Lowell Base Ball Nine vs. Portsmouth Rockinghams, games 3 and 4 will see Lynn Live Oaks vs. Newburyport Clamdiggers square off. Games kick off at 10am and don’t forget Ipswich Ale will be on hand with their fine ales.
