Lowell and Clamdiggers Split

1 vintage-baseball-3961-edit1
This past Sunday the Lowell Base Ball Nine and the Newburyport Clamdiggers squared off in two of the best EBBA games this season. Despite the brutal heat both offenses were clicking throughout the day spraying the field with hit after hit. In the first match the Lowell Nine started off with a lead but some poor defense and clutch hitting gave the Clamdiggers a 13-8 victory. The Lowell Nine could not keep Ryan West and Drew “Captain Clam” Murph off the bases helping clinch the Clamdigger victory. This was the first loss on the season for the Lowell Nine but they did not have to wait long to avenge the loss. Lowell came out swinging putting up five runs in two of the first six innings. The final score in the second game was 17-9 in favor of the Lowell Nine.

The next EBBA game will be 12pm on Sunday between the Lynn Live Oaks and Portsmouth Rockinghams at Spencer Peirce Little Farm in Newbury
